Kerry Shea to begin September 1st!

Boulder Women’s Care would like to announce Kerry Shea, D.O., FACOG as our new physician that will start with our practice September 1st!

Kerry Shea is originally from Irvine, California.  She went to Oberlin College in Oberlin, OH and graduated in 1996 with a degree in Neuroscience and Biology.  She worked at University of California at Irvine for two years doing research in pediatric neurology.  She went to Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO and graduated in 2003.  Kerry completed her Ob/Gyn residency at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital in Wyandotte, Michigan in 2007.  After graduating residency Kerry worked in private practice and as part of a teaching faculty in Wyandotte, Michigan for three years.  

Kerry is a board-certified OB/Gyn and a member of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Kerry's practice interests include minimally invasive gynecology, adolescent gynecology and obstetrics.  

Kerry enjoys traveling, yoga, pilates, running, gardening and cooking.  She is excited to join her friends and family living in the Denver and Boulder area.

Mako Shimoda, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Shimoda has been practicing in Boulder, Colorado since 1997.  As a native of St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Shimoda attended the University of Missouri for her undergraduate degree in Biology, and earned her M.D. from the Universtiy of Missouri in 1991.  From there, she went on to the University of Arkansas to complete her 4 year residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1995.  Dr. Shimoda is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

After completing her residency, Dr. Shimoda moved to Kansas City where she was in private practice for 2 years.  Thereafter, she moved to Boulder to join her long time friend and residency colleague, Lisa Jamroz MD in private practice.  In the year 2000, Dr. Shimoda and Dr. Jamroz formed Boulder Women’s Care, and the two of them have been dedicated to providing quality health care to women of all ages.

Dr. Shimoda’s interests include perimenopause and menopausal disorders, all aspects of gynecologic surgery, and comprehensive obstetrical care.  She believes that all women should be able to freely communicate with their physician, and she strives to fully understand every aspect of their issues. 

Dr. Shimoda is a member of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The Colorado Medical Society, and previously served as a board member for the Boulder County Medical Society. 

During her time away from work, Dr. Shimoda spends time with her 3 children and very supportive husband.  She enjoys spending time in the mountains, snow skiing, hiking, and running.

Lisa Jamroz, M.D., FACOG

A native of Denver, Dr. Jamroz grew up in central Texas and is an ardent Longhorn fan from the University of Texas in Austin.  She is also an Aggie receiving her medical degree from Texas A&M University in 1991 and completed her residency at the University of Arkansas.  She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

A member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Jamroz has been practicing in Boulder, Colorado since completing her residency in 1995.  She and
Dr. Mako Shimoda formed Boulder Women’s Care in 2000.

Lisa and her husband Tim have three handsome boys, a lovely daughter and two 100-pound Bernaise Mountain dogs.  She enjoys watching T-ball and soccer practices and is a constant referee with her three sons.  She enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.  When there is a quiet moment, she also loves drawing and playing piano.

Brenda Price, M.D., FACOG

She graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Colorado in 1995 where she majored in Psychology.  She then received her Medical Degree from the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine in 2000, and went on to complete her residency at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore Maryland in 2004 where she received the Berlex Best Teaching Resident Award.  She worked in private practice in Richmond, Virginia for 3 years before returning home to Colorado. 

Dr. Price is a member of the American College of OB-Gyn and is board certified for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She is interested in all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology including high risk pregnancy, infertility, and minimally invasive Gynecologic Surgery. 

She is married and has a four year old son and twin baby boys!  She is an avid reader and amateur cook.  Brenda loves outdoor activities hiking, skiing and spending time with family.

Eryn Munks, M.D., FACOG

Eryn Munks is a native of Salem, Oregon. Eryn went to college in Mt Vernon, Iowa, at Cornell College, graduating with a degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. She then worked in the biotechnology industry for one year, before returning to Portland, Oregon for medical school and her OB/GYN residency. Eryn is a board-certified OB/GYN and a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and American Medical Womens Association.  Eryn’s practice interests include minimally invasive surgery, reproductive endocrinology, and obstetrics.  She has been practicing with Boulder Women’s Care since 2005.  Outside of work Eryn enjoys gardening, reading, hiking and spending time with her family. Eryn lives in Lafayette with her husband Michael, their daughter Sophie and son Sam, and their two cats.
