Brenda Price, M.D., FACOG
She graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Colorado in 1995 where she majored in Psychology. She then received her Medical Degree from the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine in 2000, and went on to complete her residency at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore Maryland in 2004 where she received the Berlex Best Teaching Resident Award. She worked in private practice in Richmond, Virginia for 3 years before returning home to Colorado.
Dr. Price is a member of the American College of OB-Gyn and is board certified for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is interested in all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology including high risk pregnancy, menopause, infertility, and minimally invasive Gynecologic Surgery.
She is married and has three busy boys including twins in pre-school. She is an avid reader and amateur cook. Brenda loves all that Colorado has to offer, including outdoor activities hiking, skiing and spending time with family.
Mako Shimoda, M.D., FACOG
Dr. Shimoda has been practicing in Boulder, Colorado since 1997. As a native of St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Shimoda attended the University of Missouri for her undergraduate degree in Biology, and earned her M.D. from the Universtiy of Missouri in 1991. From there, she went on to the University of Arkansas to complete her 4 year residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1995. Dr. Shimoda is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
After completing her residency, Dr. Shimoda moved to Kansas City where she was in private practice for 2 years. Thereafter, she moved to Boulder to join her long time friend and residency colleague, Lisa Jamroz MD in private practice. In the year 2000, Dr. Shimoda and Dr. Jamroz formed Boulder Women’s Care, and the two of them have been dedicated to providing quality health care to women of all ages.
Dr. Shimoda’s interests include perimenopause and menopausal disorders, all aspects of gynecologic surgery, and comprehensive obstetrical care. She believes that all women should be able to freely communicate with their physician, and she strives to fully understand every aspect of their issues.
Dr. Shimoda is a member of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The Colorado Medical Society, and previously served as a board member for the Boulder County Medical Society. She is currently on the Boulder Community Hospital Board of Directors, and serves on many hospital committees.
During her time away from work, Dr. Shimoda spends time with her 3 children and very supportive husband. She enjoys spending time in the mountains, snow skiing, hiking, and running.
We would like to notify our patients that as of December 31st, 2014 Dr. Mako Shimoda will be retiring from Boulder Women’s Care. Please feel confident that the other physicians of this practice are willing and able to take over care of her patients.
Dr. Mako Shimoda founded Boulder Women’s Care with Dr. Lisa Jamroz in 2000. She has been one of the key components to making this practice such a positive resource for the community.

Kerry Shea, D.O., FACOOG
Kerry Shea is originally from Irvine, California. She went to Oberlin College in Oberlin, OH and graduated in 1996 with a degree in Neuroscience and Biology. She worked at University of California at Irvine for two years doing research in pediatric neurology. She went to Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO and graduated in 2003. Kerry completed her Ob/Gyn residency at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital in Wyandotte, Michigan in 2007. After graduating residency Kerry worked in private practice and as part of a teaching faculty in Wyandotte, Michigan for three years.
Kerry is a board-certified OB/Gyn and a member of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Kerry's practice interests include minimally invasive gynecology, adolescent gynecology and obstetrics.
Kerry enjoys traveling, yoga, pilates, running, gardening and cooking. She is excited to join her friends and family living in the Denver and Boulder area.
Lisa Jamroz, M.D., FACOG
A native of Denver, Dr. Jamroz grew up in central Texas and is an ardent Longhorn fan from the University of Texas in Austin. She is also an Aggie receiving her medical degree from Texas A&M University in 1991 and completed her residency at the University of Arkansas. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
A member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Jamroz has been practicing in Boulder, Colorado since completing her residency in 1995. She and Dr. Mako Shimoda formed Boulder Women’s Care in 2000.
Outside of practice, Lisa tries to find the hard balance with work and family. Lisa and her husband Tim have three boys, a daughter and a 100-pound Bernaise Mountain dog. She enjoys watching football and baseball games, and tries to squeeze the extra time for her kickboxing. She loves playing piano herself and helping three of her children with piano and jazz band. Lisa is a Girl Scout Leader for her daughter’s troop and a Boy Scout Leader for one of her son’s dens.
Boulder Women’s Care will be adding a new physician, Alice Gray, D.O., to the practice August 1st, 2014.
Alice Gray, D.O.
Alice Gray is originally from Portland, Oregon. She attended the University of San Diego where she graduated in 2004 with a degree in Biochemistry. She then moved to Berkeley, California where she attended Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating as class valedictorian in 2010. She completed her OB-GYN residency at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado and is excited to remain in the area as she joins Boulder Women’s Care. While she enjoys all aspects of women’s health, she is particularly enthusiastic about minimally invasive surgery and high risk obstetrics.
Prior to her career in medicine, Alice danced professionally with ballet companies throughout the West Coast and continues to stay active in the arts. In her free time she enjoys hiking, cooking and running with her husband Drew. She completed two marathons during her last year of residency and looks forward to the outdoor activities Boulder will provide!
